Font Hari Raya Aidilfitri. Hari Raya Aidilfitri, also known as Eid al-Fitr, is one of the most significant celebrations for Muslims worldwide. It marks the end of Ramadan, a holy month of fasting, prayer, and self-reflection. This joyous occasion is a time for Muslims to express gratitude to Allah for the strength and patience given throughout the fasting period. It is also a moment to seek forgiveness from God and fellow human beings, reinforcing the values of humility and compassion.

The celebration begins with a special prayer called Solat Aidilfitri, performed in congregations at mosques or open fields early in the morning. Before attending the prayer, Muslims are encouraged to pay zakat fitrah, a form of almsgiving intended to help the less fortunate celebrate the festival. Following the prayers, families and friends gather to share festive meals, exchange greetings, and ask for forgiveness from one another, often by saying, “Selamat Hari Raya” and “Maaf zahir dan batin”. Traditional delicacies such as ketupat, rendang, and lemang are enjoyed during this time.
